Training

Seminars last from one to five days and may cover any aspect of machine condition monitoring using vibration analysis or structural testing. Attendees usually receive a comprehensive three-ring binder containing course notes plus relevant application notes and data. A certificate is mailed to each attendee upon completion of the seminar. UEC and tax credits are available for qualifying applicants. Lecture material can be arranged to serve as refresher course before level one, two or three certification examination from the Vibration Institute. Typical seminar titles are:

  • Introduction to vibration measurements for condition monitoring (level 1)
  • Machine fault detection and diagnostic using vibration measurements (level 2)
  • Structural analysis and advanced diagnosis techniques (level 3)
  • Diagnosis of rolling element bearings and gears
  • Diagnosis of electric machinery
  • Vibration analysis in the pulp & paper industry
  • Vibration analysis in the mining industry
